Linking ties your Discord account to your Minecraft account. Proximity voice cannot place you in the world without it.
It is a two-sided handshake — you run one command in Discord and one in game. Neither needs any special permission.
1. Get your code, in Discord
In any channel the bot can see, run:
/link
Skoice replies with a six-digit code. The reply is private — only you can see it.
2. Redeem it, in game
Log into the server and run:
/skoice link <code>
Replace <code> with the six digits. If it worked, the bot sends you a direct message confirming the link and pointing you at the voice channel.
If something goes wrong
- "Invalid code" — codes are single-use and tied to the Discord account that generated them. Run
/linkagain for a fresh one. - "Account already linked" — you are already linked, and the message names the account. Unlink first if it is the wrong one.
- Nothing happens — the bot is probably offline or misconfigured. Say so in
#support.
Unlinking
Either side works:
- In game:
/skoice unlink - In Discord:
/unlink
You only need to link once. It persists across sessions, and you will not be asked again unless you unlink.
