Consoles

Xbox — One, Series S and Series X

Read why consoles need a workaround first if you have not.

Change the DNS

1. Press the Xbox button → Profile & system → Settings.

2. General → Network settings.

3. Advanced settings → DNS settings → Manual.

4. Primary IPv4 DNS: enter a BedrockConnect address from the list.

5. Secondary IPv4 DNS: 1.1.1.1

6. Confirm, and let the console test the connection. It should pass.

Join the server

7. Start Minecraft and open the Servers tab.

8. Pick any featured server — The Hive, Mineplex, CubeCraft, it does not matter which — and press Join Server.

9. Instead of that server, the BedrockConnect menu appears.

10. Choose Connect to a Server.

11. Enter the address from your dashboard, and the Bedrock port.

12. It is saved to the list, so next time you only need steps 7–9.

If the featured server loads normally instead of showing the menu, your DNS change did not take. Restart the console — Xbox caches DNS aggressively — and if it still does not, try a different address from the list.

Xbox Series X and S

The same steps work. Mojang's own documentation and Geyser's wiki both predate these consoles and only mention Xbox One, which makes people assume they are excluded — they are not. The client is the same, and so is the restriction.
