Consoles

Nintendo Switch

Read why consoles need a workaround first if you have not.

Change the DNS

1. From the Home screen: System Settings → Internet → Internet Settings.

2. Select the network you are connected to → Change Settings.

3. DNS Settings → Manual.

4. Primary DNS: a BedrockConnect address from the list.

5. Secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1

6. Save, then Connect to This Network to test it.

Join the server

7. Start Minecraft and open the Servers tab.

8. Pick any featured server and join.

9. The BedrockConnect menu appears.

10. Connect to a Server, then the address and Bedrock port from your dashboard.

Switch 2

Same steps, same menus. The networking settings were not reorganised.

The Switch is the fussiest of the three about DNS caching. If the featured server loads normally rather than showing the menu, fully close Minecraft from the Home menu — not just back out of it — and try again.
